Well, it is almost 11 a.m on a Monday morning and I am sitting in a clean, re-organized kitchen while my children play contentedly and watch 'The Corpse Bride' (puts you in the Christmas spirit, right?). Ahh. This is happy. Kellan even got off the coffee table with a simple "Kellan, get down please." Yep, my 14 month old looked at me, crawled back down from the table and smiled, then clapped for himself. It's a November miracle.
On Wednesday my sweet little girl turns 4. I can't believe it. She seems so grown up, yet I just can't believe she is so close to being in school and that 4 years have passed so quickly. It's so amazing how quickly these tiny little babies develop into people of their own. She is such a spirited, bright, and happy little girl. I am so blessed and thankful for these days that I get to spend at home with my beautiful babies. They remind me everyday that there is something perfect in the world :)

Anyhow, I need to make some lunch for these babes, as they are getting restless... Toodles.

To Sleep or Not To...

I need to waste some time before I get too tired to sit up anymore. We have kind of been in a rut this last week. Okay, I have been in a rut this last week. We haven't left the house other than taking Addie to school and Target trips (our favorite!). It actually isn't making me as crazy as I would imagine, but I feel like I need to get the kids out and doing something. Especially Kellan. He has been freaking out every time Karl or I go out the door... poor kid. My kids are so like me, they like to stay busy and on the go. I think we will have to make a trip to the Science Museum or something next week, once we get through Thanksgiving and all. It's just that sometimes leaving the house with the two of them for an outing seems so daunting... and I have been kind of blah lately. I don't know.

Anyhow, hopefully we have fun days ahead! I am stoked for Friday! I have a great list for Christmas shopping put together. I have found almost everything we had already planned to get Addie for her birthday and Christmas is going to be on sale... Woohoo!

Alright. Just wanted to get a quick update in. I think I definitely need sleeeeep now, so time to cut this one short. G'night all! If I don't make it back by Thursday have a lovely Thanksgiving and save room for pie!

Plan B?

Well, started to cook dinner and realized the package I opened, a 'Steamable' dinner for "two" wouldn't even feed me for lunch, let alone Karl and I (Addie is not home and Kell is eating now)... so I kind of panicked. Hubs will be home in about 10-15 minutes.

I now resort to plan B, the good old spaghetti stand-by. Booooring.

What's your Plan B dinner?

Dear Diary, take one...

Yep, jumping on the blogging bandwagon. Okay, not for the first time, but we will see how long this attempt will hold out.

Currently, I am pecking away on the trusty old Mac (plug!) while Kellan "naps" (he's not sleeping, so much as making noises and knocking on the wall) and Addie is visiting her grandparents. Today makes it a week since we moved into our apartment! Well, almost. A week, since we painted anyway.... but it is thrilling, nonetheless. You'd think today would be pretty tame, seeing as I only have one little dumpling at home... but, I have the trouble-making dumpling. My sweet, precious little son (who is 14 months old) had quite the morning yesterday. Let me give you a sampling; I take his dirty sippy cups to the kitchen, unwittingly, either Karl or I left the bathroom door open. Within seconds he is clomping down the hall with a wad of toilet paper, I come to find that half the roll is littered along the hallway and also dispersed in a neat pile on the bathroom floor. Kellan-1, Mom-0. As I pick up the toilet paper, trying to salvage what I can, Destructo Toddler wanders into the kitchen. I enter the living room to find a Pibb can lying near the dining room... pick it up, there's another one in the dining room... enter the kitchen where I find pop splattered on the floor and a smiling Destructo Toddler pointing proudly at the trash can. Kellan-3, one for each can, Mom... still nothing.
Luckily, today the only mischief we encountered was an incident involving dryer sheets and the toilet (he was trying to 'clean'), but otherwise, I guess we are sitting at tame.

Anyhow, I am off to bake some muffins. I make them from a box. I know I have a lot of friends that bake... so tell me, what are your favorite muffin recipes from scratch? I made them once from scratch... they were not good. Horribly dry... ech. Any good ones?? (and I don't like nuts!)
